Discovering your own style can sometimes be a tricky journey and it can take a lot of experimenting. Today, we're going to share with you our Style Edit with Beatrice Rigby, a fashion enthusiast and photographer based in London.
How would you describe your style?
"My style is quite eclectic and I find it quite hard to describe, but I would say that it’s retro/French/girly inspired. I love the aesthetic of the the Nouvelle Vague, French cinema and also the aesthetic of the 70’s in general."
How did you discover Palones?
"I met the brand through my friend Monika Young. I saw her with one of the coats and I fell in love."
What's your favourite piece from Palones and why?
"I’m obsessed with the Kimmi Deconstructed Trench Coat. I love how you've reinvented the classic piece, the oversized deconstructed design with the checked pattern cut outs, it’s stunning. Also the matching trousers are a dream. I found them super flattering as well."
What are your aspirations?
"My opinion changes literally everyday but something that I've dreamt of since I was little is having my own small clothing brand. Also, I would love to get a career from my photography - travelling the world and telling stories."
Where would you like to go travelling?
"I love to travel, so my bucket list is super long. But at the top of the list would be Tokyo. Something else that I’ve always wanted to do is a road trip from LA or San Francisco then across to NYC. Travel across the States."
What do you love about London?
"The thing I love the most is that you always have something to do. You are open to so many cultural/social opportunities. It’s such a multicultural city. You are in contact with people from different backgrounds, so you're always learning something."
Where and what inspires you?
"Everything inspires me. I love walking around or just going on the tube and observing people - what they wear, what they do, the little things.
I'm also really inspired by cinema and tv."
Have you been to any exhibitions recently?
"The last exhibition I visited was at the Tate museum, the Diane Arbus exhibition."
At Palones, we're inspired by people, places and the culture around us. We design season-less clothing and don't follow trends, meaning you can style our new pieces with previous drops and wear them year-on-year. This week we've dropped some new styles that are the perfect additions to your AW19 wardrobe.
